By Paul RussellThe 2006-2007 ‘Reach’ season saw new subscriber schools across the country, particularly in Ontario (Daniel Hill, Provincial Co-ordinator)
On television, fifty-six programmes were packaged for broadcast in association with our broadcast partners: CLT, TVO, Access and the Knowledge Network (See page 8 for full broadcast schedules).
These productions featured star quizmasters to anchor every game. Kudos to David Kelly (Access & CLT), Nicole Stamp (TVO) and Tamara Stanners (Knowledge Network) for consistent and outstanding performances on Reach For The Top.
Check our website at www.reachforthetop.com during the coming year for updates from provincial co-ordinators on the play schedules in each province, and send photos or information on your “Reach” activities that we can post on our “Reach” site.
Our thanks to the teacher-coaches in every province who field teams, arrange play dates, ask questions, judge answers and generally make the Schoolreach tournament system work across our vast country.
Thanks also to the provincial co-ordinators (see their reports on the following pages) who organized and ran the provincial finals and produced uniformly strong teams to represent each province at the Nationals; to the editorial board of ‘Reach’, Pat Beecham, Jane Kay, Janet Nahabidian, Erin McMullan & Luke Stark; and to the National Tournament producer Daniel Hill, and associate producers Eric Novakovics and Richard Koo.
Congratulations to everyone involved in ‘Reach’ for a year of successful games and best wishes for a relaxing summer.
