A massive congratulations goes out to the six players from Reach who competed against six players from Génies en Herbe in an exhibition game this evening. To our knowledge this is the first time since 1978 that this type of game was played.The game has been recorded and we look forward to sharing it with you in the near future (so no spoilers please!).For the purposes of this match Génies was the home team and Reach was the visiting team so Génies rules were played… this meant that Reach players got to deal with new game formats such as “secret list” questions, audio clips, “modified shootout” and the ever popular “survival” round!The game was presented in both French and English and players were required to answer in the language that the question was asked in! Thank you to Véronique Brodeur from Génies for asking the English questions while Reach National host Ryan Vickers asked the French questions.A great time was had by all! Well done goes out to David and Joy from Ottawa; Ryan from Oakville; Jackson from Quispamsis NB, Cam from Toronto and Stephen of Calgary who not only formed a six-player team (yes, we played six a side!) but also did an outstanding job in a bilingual game that had many layers! REACH NATIONALS GAME #5And for our final round of the National prelims, we have Eric Hamber Secondary School of Vancouver, BC vs. Webber Academy of Calgary, AB. These two teams were looking like some of the strongest in the entire event based on points per game, with their wins and losses acting as a huge determining factor for teams hoping to make the championship bracket.
